A fatal dose of fentanyl sold earlier this year has landed an Alliance man in prison.
Nicholas B. Brown, 34, of Shunk Avenue, pleaded guilty Monday to involuntary manslaughter
, corrupting another with drugs and trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound.
Stark County Common Pleas Judge Frank Forchione sentenced Brown to a minimum of six years and a maximum of nine years in prison.
Brown sold three fentanyl pills in February to a 38-year-old man Alliance man who thought he was buying OxyContin; the man died from an overdose, according to court papers.
