Akron police are investigating after a man was shot in the leg Tuesday afternoon.
Officers were sent shortly after 5 p.m. Tuesday to the 900 block of Kenmore Boulevard, where they found an 18-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the leg.
Police said witnesses heard several gunshots and later saw suspects flee the area on foot. Shells casings were recovered from the scene and processed.
The man was transported to Cleveland Clinic Akron General with non-life-threatening injuries.
