The 46-year-old girlfriend of a Springfield Township man was arrested Thursday after police found the man with two stab wounds.
Township police believe Tracy Stout, who lived in a Coach Lane mobile home with her boyfriend, stabbed the man in the upper and lower abdomen.
The man was taken to Summa Akron City Hospital for treatment. His injuries were not considered to be life-threatening.
Police said they found Trout with two knives in her possession. She was arrested on charges of domestic violence and felonious assault.
Township police said Trout resisted arrest and spit on officers several times after her arrest. She was also charged with felony harassment by an inmate.
