Then, according to Stark County Jail and court records, he shot himself in the hand.
Tyren L. According to the jail and county court records, Osteen allowed his girlfriend’s 13-year-old sister to fight outside of their home as he supervised a group of juveniles.
After the fight, he and another man started shooting at each other, police allege.
Rounds from Osteen’s Taurus 9mm handgun flew across Harmont, striking a home in the 3300 block of Fairmont Avenue NE, the records show. He reportedly tried to flee, backing out of the driveway.
As officers arrived, he fired his gun inside a vehicle, shooting his own hand, according to police reports. Osteen is accused of hiding the weapon in the basement of his home.
He was taken to an area hospital where he was treated and later released into police custody.
Osteen remained Monday in the county jail, held in lieu of $51,000 bond pending a Canton Municipal Court hearing.
