A call about armed men threatening a fast-food restaurant employee led to four arrests, Akron police said.

Police were notified that an employee was being threatened at the Rally’s in the 1300 block of Vernon Odom Boulevard. Officers were told the driver and front-seat passenger were seen with handguns on their laps.

Officers responded at about 12:45 a.m. Thursday to find a car matching the description, a 2002 Chrysler Sebring, still in the drive-thru.

When officers approached the car, police said the driver, James Nurse-Stancil, 18, told them he did not have a driver’s license. He and the other three occupants were removed from the car and detained Officers found two loaded handguns within reach of the backseat passengers, Jameel Nurse-Stancil, 18, and Terrance Owens Jr., 18. They each were arrested and charged with improperly handling firearm in a motor vehicle and tampering with evidence.

James Nurse-Stancil, and the front-seat passenger, a 17-year-old male, were also arrested and charged with carrying concealed weapon and improper handling firearm in a motor vehicle. The men were issued a summons to appear in court and released.
