A woman was shot in the leg at an apartment complex in Firestone Park, Akron police said.
Officers responded to a shots fired call at Keys Place and Ericsson Avenue just before 4 a.m. Wednesday. A 22-year-old woman told officers she had been shot in the leg.
Police said the woman was a passenger in a vehicle pulling into the parking lot of an apartment complex. She told police she heard a noise before discovering she was shot.
Shell casings were found and four parked unoccupied vehicles were struck.
The woman was transported to Summa Akron City Hospital for medical treatment, and her injury is considered to be non life-threatening, police said.
Police said two other occupants in the vehicle were not hurt. No arrests have been made
