AKRON, Ohio — A man was wounded in the leg while sitting his vehicle
Wednesday night in a drive-by shooting in the Goodyear Heights neighborhood, police say.
The 28-year-old victim tells police he was driving south on Brittain Road near Preston Avenue at about 8:30 p.m. when another vehicle driven by an unknown male pulled alongside. The unknown male opened fire, hitting the victim in the leg.
The victim was taken to Akron City Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police say bullet holes were in the side of the victim’s vehicle and that shell casings were found at the scene.
