Stark County now has eight coronavirus deaths.
Local health departments are investigating four coronavirus deaths at a health care facility in Lexington Township.
Several residents and staff at Altercare Integrated Health Services’ facility on Klinger Avenue NE also have tested positive for COVID-19, wrote Gregory R. Colaner, president of Altercare Integrated Health Services, in a statement Monday.
The Stark County Health Department said the three deaths at Altercare include an 84-year-old woman who died Saturday, an 81-year-old man who died Friday and an 87-year-old woman who died Thursday. All had prior underlying health conditions, with the 87-year old in hospice care.
A representative from Altercare confirmed Monday night that a fourth Altercare resident has died due to coronavirus. No further details were immediately available.
